1. Link to relevant sites- linking into just any sites may end up looking like a link farm. You want to choose sites that are relevant to your site.
2. Create content that is worthwhile to your site, as well as rich in keywords and key phrases. If the title of your post is Five SEO Tips, write about Five SEO Tips and include the phrase once or twice in the piece as well.
3. Original content is key. You don’t want to be using articles that are appearing all over the place. Buying an article for placement once in awhile is fine, but you need to use original content. Write in your words, and the engines will see your information as unique.
4. When creating a title for your site, consider what it will be about and use that in the title. If I were to use the title of Truth be Told, or Dog Pound for a business site, it wouldn’t match what I’m trying to do. When search engines see a title that also relates to the topic that is being written about, it will help your site get noticed better.
5. Blogs offer fresh content, and should be written in at least 2 to 3 times a week. Search engines like fresh, relevant information.
