Let’s Talk Growth

One of the things about owning your own business is the opportunity to expand, and create growth. If a business stays stagnant, or the same, in essence, you end up working a “job” for yourself. Did you create a job for yourself, or are you running a business?

Where will your business be in 3 years, 5 years or 10 years? Will you be doing the same thing day after day, or will you be finding ways to grow your business.

There comes a point where you need to delegate your tasks to others, so you can continue to do other things. So many people create “jobs” for themselves, and then get stuck when things don’t change. When you grow a business, it expands, thus creating more rewards, both in monetary gains and in professional gains. Rewarding challenges are a great way to thrive.

If things are exactly the same as they were a few years ago in your business, maybe it’s time to think about a change. Growth is change, and nobody wants a stagnant business!

Gas Prices and Delivery

We’re feeling the crunch of rising fuel prices in retail outlets, as well as the grocery store. Delivering those items are getting even costlier with gas and diesel prices sky rocketing.

What about the small business that delivers local? Maybe you deliver flowers, pizza, linens or other goods. How are you coping with rising fuel costs? Do you raise your prices to make up the difference, try to find more efficient routes, or are you not changing what you do, and just cutting in other areas to make up the difference?

I’d be curious to see how you’re coping, and what you’re thinking about changing as prices continue to mount.

Hey! Is That Mickey Mouse?

Look, up in the sky, it’s…it’s….is that Mickey Mouse?

If you’re in Walt Disney World, you may happen to catch a glimpse of cloud shaped Mickey Mouse heads. In fact, pretty soon, you may start seeing other corporate logos in the sky, in cloud shaped forms.

In an interesting story, Francisco Guerra has created a way to float shaped clouds, up to 4 feet in size. Walt Disney World will be trying it out with some Mickey heads. What’s next?
